Complete and Partial Dentures

We provide complete and partial removable dentures, as well as implant retained, and implant supported dentures. Complete upper and lower dentures are for people who are missing all their natural teeth (edentulous). Partial dentures are for people who are missing only some of their teeth.

Partial dentures usually have clasps that attach to natural teeth and help to hold the denture in place. After an initial examination, we can suggest a treatment plan that best suits your needs.

Implant Supported and Implant Retained Dentures

A dental implant is usually a titanium post that is screwed into the jawbone to act as an anchor for replacing a tooth, bridge or supporting a denture. Dental implants are the best solution to holding a denture in place. No longer will you have dentures moving around while talking and chewing.

To ensure the best possible outcome of implant-supported or implant-retained dentures, we will refer you to a dentist specializing in placing implants. The Oral Surgeon will determine the best possible location of the implants. Three to six months after the implants are inserted and healed, we will make custom dentures to utilize the implants, and the whole process is completed. The patient will enjoy all the comfort and benefits of stable, natural-looking teeth. Contact us to discover how dental implants can improve the quality of your life.

Immediate Dentures

Immediate dentures are regular dentures that are placed in the mouth immediately after extractions are done. They are usually placed by the Dentist/Dental Surgeon who extracts the teeth. All impressions, measurements and tooth selection are done at our clinic and when the dentures are complete, the patient picks them up and takes them to the dentist/dental surgeon on the day of extraction. 24 hours later the patient returns to our office for a checkup. All follow up is done here in our clinic.

Relines, Rebases and Repairs

Over time, changes occur in the mouth and, as a result, the dentures become loose or ill fitting. To ensure continued comfort, your dentures should be relined or refitted every other year or so. For this procedure, new impressions are taken in the mouth and new acrylic is added to the inside of the denture to provide proper fit and comfort. Temporary and permanent soft liners are also available for patients with hypersensitive gums.

Rebasing is done when there has been more than normal shrinkage in the gums. It is a process of retrofitting dentures by replacing the denture base with new acrylic base, which provides a stable denture without replacing the actual denture teeth.

Usually, broken dentures can be repaired while you wait or within a couple of hours depending on how severe the damage is. Do not try to glue broken dentures as this may decrease the possibility that we can successfully repair them.

Temporary and Permanent Soft Liners

To increase chewing comfort in new or existing dentures, soft liners are sometimes recommended. Liners are bonded to the denture surface and rest on the tissues of the mouth. The liner acts as a shock absorber between the hard denture base and the sensitive tissues covering the jaw ridges. If you are suffering from sore spots, speak to your Denturist about how a soft liner may help you.
